Education Portfolio
The Education Portfolio supports lifelong learning and the development of community capacity across all age groups. This includes oversight and advocacy for early childhood programming, elementary and secondary education partnerships, post-secondary student support, skills training, language revitalization, and cultural education initiatives.
Council members assigned to this portfolio help ensure that education services are responsive to the needs of students and families while promoting academic success, personal development, and cultural pride. The portfolio works to strengthen relationships with school boards, post-secondary institutions, and training providers to improve educational outcomes and access to opportunities.
Education is recognized as a foundation for self-determination and future leadership. By investing in learning and knowledge — both academic and traditional — the portfolio aims to empower members with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to contribute meaningfully to the Nation's continued growth and resilience.
